Acousphere Bio & Profile
In 1995, two guitarists Toshi Shimizu and Shige Okuzawa met at Berklee College of Music in Boston, at their age of 23.
After the graduation, they came back to Japan and formed the instrumental guitar duo called "Acousphere" in 1999.
They have had many gigs, and made many CDs which were made by themselves.
Now they have a contract with Japanese major record company "avex", and released 2 CDs.

Acousphere played in the Tuck&Patti's concert as a guest artist at Nagoya Blue Note and Motion Blue Yokohama, 2006.
They played the Acousphere's original song "Go! Go! Girl" and some other songs together.
For them, the concerts were really like "Our biggest dream came true!!".

They have studied music with Tuck&Patti for almost ten years.
Toshi studies Patti's style which has real sense of groove and free improvisations.
Shige studies Tuck's style which contains all the elements of the band (drums, bass, guitar, piano, etc...), and plays them altogher simultaneously.

They recorded some songs with Tuck&Patti, which released from avex in 2005.
Some of them are available from Japanese version of Apple iTunes Music Store.

Toshi uses Opera('99) made by Tak Sakashta and Gibson ES-335('67), both specially modified for him.
Shige exclusively uses Gibson L-5('71&'90), also specially modified for him.
